5-step approach for supply chain design

catuuga supports integrated project design by dovetailing product development and procurement planning.
Our approach focuses on the integration of development, work preparation and procurement in one, integral project.

With the help of an overarching database,

catuuga supports the cooperation of those involved

in the project planning and implementation phase.

In addition to lower costs, catuuga also aims for increased innovative capacity,
more robust and resilient procurement and
better knowledge and data management.

To support this project implementation path, we use two tools:

  • ·         The Solution Workbench (SolWo) is a tool for the visualized description and capture of all project-relevant information as well as for the collaboration of the project participants.
  • ·         The Solution Exchange (SolEx) combines an AI powered automated supplier search with a platform for the provision of supplier information.

Analysis

In this step a first overview is compiled over the product (part, material group), its use and/or its target market and the requirements.

On basis of this rough definition a first analysis of the procurement market takes place. It reveals essential characteristics such as regions of origin, competitive structures as well as basic profile differences of the suppliers.

catuuga's services include the moderation of the creation of the rough definition as well as the initial analysis of the procurement market including presentation of the results.

Design

In this step, an initial project design is documented in the Solution Workbench (SolWo). In addition to the product structure, this includes requirements for materials, processes/manufacturing methods, logistics, costs as well as requirements for the supplier itself.

catuuga's services include the moderation of the creation of the first project design as well as the documentation of the project design in the Solution Workbench (SolWo).

Sourcing

Further refinement of the project design takes place in parallel with the creation of a longlist and then a shortlist of suppliers for the procurement parts and components. The information on manufacturing processes and possible product structures determined by the Solution Exchange (SolEx) is incorporated into the project design, as is information from RFI, RFQ and from samples of existing products from selected suppliers.

The result of this step is a further refined project design and a shortlist of suppliers for the sourced parts or products.

catuuga's services include facilitating the refinement of the project design, capturing the project design in the Solution Workbench, creating the longlist and shortlist, and conducting RFI, RFQ, and sourcing samples.

Collaboration

catuuga's services include facilitating the refinement of the project design, capturing the project design in the Solution Workbench (SolWo), creating the longlist and shortlist, and conducting RFI, RFQ, and sourcing samples.

catuuga builds up a supplier cluster by weighting strategically important criteria and thus leads to transparent decisions
Suppliers can be added and removed.

In the area of risk management, catuuga accompanies the learning curve of the employees by supporting a PMO to coach a consistent end-2-end understanding.

Contracting

After the final project design has been determined and the suppliers selected, the contract is now negotiated and signed. If necessary, any required qualification steps will still be gone through.

Appropriate conditions (commercial, logistical, others) are added to the project design.

catuuga's services include accompanying contract negotiations, supporting final qualification steps and handing over the results and project data.

In addition to the content described above,
our offer also includes the implementation of
workshops and presentations.
