Which is really more effective for project management?

Excel: Everyone knows it, it's simple and flexible. But is it still the right tool for complex projects in today's world? Redmine and other specialized tools offer extensive functions such as task management and time tracking - but do you really need them, or do they just complicate your work?

Should we stick with Excel because it is so versatile? Or is it time to switch to specialized software that is tailored to the needs of project managers? Which tools do you use in your projects, and why?
